Test method for tensile strength of leather

Before the leather shoes are made, we need to test the tensile strength of the surface material, that is, leather, so that we can know the hardness of the leather shoes. So which tensile machine is needed to measure the tensile force of leather, and which force value data of leather should be measured, and what are the operation steps?

1. Which tensile testing machine is needed for the tensile strength test of leather?

In general, we use YL-S70 tensile testing machine to test the tensile data of leather.

2. What force value data of leather needs to be measured?

A: tensile strength: adjust and measure the thickness in the air at the specified temperature, and stretch in the tensile machine until it breaks;

B: Elongation: the degree to which the air-conditioned test piece is stretched by placing it in a tensile machine. When the test piece is stressed to a pre-specified value or broken, the test piece is stretched;

c: Unilateral tearing of leather: use the peel strength tester to tear from the incision on the moment edge of the rectangular sample, record the force value generated by the sample during the tearing process and calculate the average value;

d: leather bilateral tearing: a rectangular sample with a specified shape of leather (with a hole in the middle) is placed on the test hooks of the upper and lower clamps of the tensile testing machine, and the maximum force value reached during the operation of the tensile testing machine is the tearing force of the sample;

3. Test leather material operation steps

a: firstly, set the moving speed of the fixture of the tensile testing machine to 120±10 mm/min;

B: Take four traceless test pieces, or more than four;

c: Select the test leather fixture, you can use the universal fixture.

d: turn on the power and open the microcomputer system, open the tensile test software. Pay attention to the firmness of the upper and lower clamps before the test, and there should be no looseness;

e: At the beginning of the test, the measuring test piece shall be clamped between the clamps, and the distance between the two ends of the test piece shall be kept at about 50mm;

f: Then, according to the original set speed, the fixture moves into the stretching mode;

G: When the leather is broken, the tensile testing machine will stop the test, we can print out or store the data obtained;

h: The test is finished, the data is cleared, the power is turned off, and the tensile strength test of the whole leather is finished;
